To Know Christ and Make Him Known

Ministries

Calvary Chapel Lemon Grove offers a broad spectrum of ministries tailored for all life stages and interests. From children’s and youth programs to men’s, women’s, and couples groups, each ministry is anchored in Scripture and community. Our heartfelt desire is to teach God’s Word and foster authentic fellowship through Bible studies, mentoring, and outreach.

Volunteers and leaders serve with passion and dedication, helping individuals develop spiritually and build strong relationships. Whether you’re exploring the faith for the first time or growing in grace, our ministries provide welcoming spaces to learn, connect, and serve with purpose.

Men's

The men’s ministry at CCLG is designed to encourage spiritual growth, leadership, and a firm foundation in the Scriptures.

As iron sharpens iron, so the men at CCLG build one another up through a weekly Bible study, led by Pastor Tom Klingforth.  Through teaching and discussion the truth of God’s word is revealed and a spirit of brotherhood and unity is promoted.

Men’s meet every Saturday at 8am in the main sanctuary.

Women’s

The Women’s Ministry at CCLG is about unity through the Holy Spirit.

It is our desire to grow together in our faith and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.   In doing this, we strive to create a place where women feel welcome and accepted.  Uniting together, we encourage and build-up one another in our spiritual walk, seek to help each other through times of sorrow and trial, and to rejoice with one another in times of blessing.

To help achieve these goals, we offer small group Bible Studies at various times during the week and on various topics where the Word of God is taught.  These Bible studies encourage thoughtful discussion and questions on the passages of Scripture we are studying to help us better apply the Word to our lives.  We also encourage consistent prayer for one another.

The women of CCLG agree that one of the most important ways to experience the abundant life that God promises in the Scriptures, to remain steadfast in their faith, and to mature as  believers is to be reading the Word of God on a daily basis.  To help achieve this, we have committed to read the word together, and to form small accountability groups where members e-mail one another on a regular basis about the passage they are all reading.

Once each year the women participate in a Women’s Retreat for a chance to get away from the distractions of normal life and spend the weekend focusing on God.  It is a great time for God to do some major work in each one of us, a time to share our experiences with one another, and to strengthen our bond with God and with one another.

Couples

The couple’s ministry at CCLG is designed to support the marriages in our congregation through godly teaching and uplifting activities.

Our heart is to help our couples to achieve the type of special relationship God has designed for marriage; a relationship that reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church.

CCLG works to strengthen marriages against the attacks of Satan, who would see them destroyed.

Youth

The Youth Ministry at CCLG is designed to prepare the youth of our church to stand strong in their faith against a world of increasing temptation.

We do this through Youth Group Bible Study.  At the Bible study the Youth Leader uses the Word of God to help the youth apply Biblical lessons and scenarios to their own lives and helps them develop a godly perspective on the issues they face.

Our Youth Leaders establish relationships of trust with each young person and they act as role models giving Biblical counsel and participating with them in God-honoring activities.

We encourage our youth to form friendships with one another by providing fun venues and activities, such as Lock-ins and Christian movies.  Additionally, we offer participation in youth camps, as well as youth conferences (e.g., Acquire the Fire).  The CCLG Youth Ministry is comprised of young people ages 11 to 17.

Children’s

The children’s ministry at CCLG is designed to augment a parent’s calling to raise up their children in the ways of the Lord.

We provide a loving, safe environment, where children from infants through elementary school feel welcome and valued.  In this environment children will experience the love of Jesus as it is modeled through their teachers.

They will learn about God as He is revealed in the scriptures through Bible lessons, memorizing of scripture, and activities.  Our children are a precious gift of God, and it is our desire, at CCLG, that the legacy of our faith shall be passed to them.
